  1. How can you trust the eyewitness testimony in the Gospels? What would your brief answer be?
  2. Wallace gives a test to assess eyewitness trustworthiness. What are the four tests?

ke a look at the following list of reasons why  we know that the New Testament writers told the truth. What stands out to you from this list? Why?
  1. They share embarrassing details about themselves.
  2. They tell the difficult sayings of Jesus.
  3. They tell the demanding sayings of Jesus.
  4. They were careful to differentiate between the words of Jesus and their own.
  5. They give details of the resurrection that they would not have invented.
  6. They mention more than thirty historically confirmed people.
  7. They give divergent details.
  8. They encourage the reader to check out and verify facts, including miracles.
  9. Miracles are described like other historical events: simple and unembellished.
  10. They gave up so much of their long-held religious and cultural beliefs and practices... for a very difficult and painful life in return.
  11. They did not deny their beliefs, even to death.​
