It has been an exciting season! I had the privilege of being one of the workshop presenters at the BASS Church Workers Convention in the Bay Area last month. One of those who attended my workshop was Eli. Eli is an ER nurse at Stanford, and his job provides him the flexibility to be on campus regularly to minister to college students. He is a part of a church that has leadership on multiple campuses (including community colleges). A few days ago I drove to San Jose State University to spend some time on campus with Eli. While doing our clipboard spiritual survey, we met several students who expressed interest in meeting up again (including an international student from Korea, in the picture above).
A highlight for me was hearing Eli tell me that I have helped him think about ways he and his church can be more effective at making disciples who make disciples. I am looking forward to doing some more disciple-making training with the other leaders from Eli’s church.
The Yorks are passionate about bringing the Gospel to the nations - especially the unreached of the world (those who have no access to the Gospel). They are convinced that the greatest impact they can have in reaching the unreached is by multiplying disciples on college campuses and equipping churches to be missional disciple-makers.
