A few weeks ago I drove down to Oxnard College to do some evangelism with Humberto, one of leaders of the young adult ministry at a local Calvary Chapel.
Humberto had already been on campus a few times (without me!) to do the Soularium Survey Table that I had shown him over lunch back in the fall. I just love his enthusiasm and love for the Lord!
The highlight for me was our conversation with Carlos. After I led the way a few times in engaging with students, Humberto said that he wanted to lead the way. I handed him the clipboard, and we approached Carlos. Immediately Carlos communicated that he doesn’t speak English! My Spanish is not that great, but Humberto is fluent (as Spanish is his first language). Humberto shared the Gospel with Carlos and had a wonderful conversation.
God is at work at Oxnard College! And He is using Humberto to reach the Spanish speakers, too.
Please pray for a movement of disciple-makers at Oxnard College!
The Yorks are passionate about bringing the Gospel to the nations - especially the unreached of the world (those who have no access to the Gospel). They are convinced that the greatest impact they can have in reaching the unreached is by multiplying disciples on college campuses and equipping churches to be missional disciple-makers.
