Back in July I had lunch with Bryan (a college pastor in Rocklin) and a few of his leaders. I shared a simple strategy to reach students, and they happily agreed to take the next step of getting on campus together.
So I recently made the drive up to Sierra College to do evangelism with Pastor Bryan and one of his leaders. Once again, I was reminded that God is faithful to prepare hearts. What a joy it is to share the Gospel and teach the One Thing Study to so many interested students!
The highlight for me was meeting Aiden (pictured left). He quickly revealed that he is a Christian and expressed his desire to live out his faith on campus. It turns out his family goes to pastor Bryan’s church, but he had not yet connected with the college group. Aiden might be a key student leader in reaching the campus with the Gospel.
I plan to be going back to Rocklin later this spring semester to help Bryan train Aiden and others how to share their faith and make disciples on campus. Praise the Lord for the work He is doing at Sierra College!
Bummed that I forgot to get a picture! But today I had lunch in Rocklin with a local college pastor (Bryan) and a few of his leaders to talk about reaching Sierra College with the Gospel!
What a wonderful meeting.
Bryan said that my email to him was timely because they are wanting to reach Sierra College as a church. I cannot wait to get on campus with them in the coming months to do some evangelism and disciple-making training.
Praise the Lord for the work He is already doing at Sierra College!
And praise the Lord that He has given local believers a desire to reach students on campus!
The Yorks are passionate about bringing the Gospel to the nations - especially the unreached of the world (those who have no access to the Gospel). They are convinced that the greatest impact they can have in reaching the unreached is by multiplying disciples on college campuses and equipping churches to be missional disciple-makers.
