I recently had the privilege of joining Joe (a missionary to SF College students with the North American Mission Board) on campus at SF City College. What a wonderful and fruitful time!
Here are some of the highlights:
As I hopped in my car to head home, I reflected on how amazing it is that the Lord would use me to share the Gospel and equip students to share the Gospel… and equip students to disciple others into disciple-makers…..
Oh, what a privilege it is to partner with YOU in multiplying disciples on college campuses.
Thank you for joining us in this amazing adventure. We could not do it without you.
About six months ago, as we were having our All Nations staff meeting, we began asking ourselves the question:
How can we be MOST effective in multiplying disciples?
How can we most fruitfully invest in young people and equip them to be life-long disicple-makers?
We concluded that the best way to make disciples is to follow Jesus’ example; so our next question was:
So how did Jesus do it? How did Jesus make disciples?
Jesus invested in a small number of men. He invested his life in them: life-on-life discipleship.
And then they changed the world.
We wondered together: How can we be most like Jesus? How can we make disciples like Jesus made disciples? We want to change the world! So let’s follow Jesus’ example and let him take care of the rest.
And thus was born the vision for The Sending Center.
Fast-forward six months (and there is quite a story in there.... we will share more of the amazing story soon), and we JUST SIGNED THE LEASE FOR THE SENDING CENTER HOUSE!
We are already moving stuff in and getting the house ready for student interns. We are convinced that the Lord is going to change many lives through this ministry. We dream of hundreds of students being equipped to make disciples (life-on-life disciple-making) and sent out all over the world. We would love for you to be a part of making The Sending Center a GREAT success. Here are some ways you can be involved:
The Yorks are passionate about bringing the Gospel to the nations - especially the unreached of the world (those who have no access to the Gospel). They are convinced that the greatest impact they can have in reaching the unreached is by multiplying disciples on college campuses and equipping churches to be missional disciple-makers.
